Right now I'm in an editing studio in Santa Monica lending my creative input to the editing of Ne-Yo's new video "Part Of The List". Also in the room is the director (Taj), the video's producer (Andrew), director of photography (Alejandro), and the actual editor working the computer (Dean). Sitting here I'm realizing how many people are involved in the creative process of making and maintaining a star. For every person you see in the spotlight, there are countless people behind the scenes shaping the artists superstar image. When people say the music business is 90% business and 10% music, I think this is what they're talking about. We're literally creating the video from unstructured rolls of footage, and the only person in this room who makes music is me, and thats just by coincidence. Im actually down here as a screenwriter. Go figure.

So one of those working days, what’s it like? Your typical day.

A typical day for me? (To his road manager) Can I have a lighter? (Lights a blunt.) I get up, and if I’m not on the road or doing something like a photo shoot, I’m in the studio. I get up and eat breakfast, I have a great chef. The homies usually come over. We eat breakfast and shit.
My chef makes the same thing every day, just the full breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, sometimes waffles, fruit. Make sure that there’s everything you’re supposed to get.

You ever think about what happens when your record doesn’t open on top? Like where do you think you’ll be in ten years?

With the roller coaster like stock market these days, one of the surest places to put your money is in antique watches. Looking at the results of the first Fall Antiquorum watch auction held on Oct. 16, things don't seem to be affected by the falling Dow at all.
One of the most interesting pieces to sell at the auction was a watch by Longines given to world famous physicist Albert Einstein by the Jewish community of Los Angeles in 1931. The 14k tonneau shaped watch was engraved with Einstein's name and date on the back of the watch. The short answer is because we used to be a nation of farmers. The long answer is that Congress chose November because the harvest was over and the weather wouldn't be bad enough to prevent people from traveling.

As for Tuesday, people used to have to travel overnight to their polling location. In 1845, most people traveled by horse. Trying to avoid religious days of rest, Congress chose Tuesday, leaving Monday and Wednesday as travel days.

The Bay Area’s "HELLA TIGHT" company presents the ‘Yeezy Tuxedo‘ Fitted Cap. Inspired by the music of Kanye West, the cap company flipped an homage to the double threat producer/emcee into fitted baseball cap packed with many fine details.

The crown is a Black 100% Wool, stitched with Black Pinstripes. Kanye’s Bear Head Logo, complete with those trademark shutter shades is embroidered on the front panels. Both the shades and the White outline are in Glo-In-The-Dark thread. The top and bottom of the visor is black perforated leather. Adding that finishing touch the button is perforated leather as well. The other day when I heard this song I thought she was crazy for dropping this as her single. But when I saw the video I realized I was wrong. When she's about to drop an album, Beyonce always does an excellent job of reminding you why she's in a class of her own. Her performance in this is amazing. She's still the baddest chick in the game. Below is the video of hers that almost turned me into her stalker. I still get goosebumps watching it.

I.V.A.N.'s Scotch Review

I'm a fan of Scotch Whisky, so when I was at BevMo the other day looking for a quality spirit, my final decision was no huge surprise. I decided to go out on a limb and experiment with something new and ended up with Buchanan's De Luxe (aged 12 years). The overall taste is peppery at first, then you begin to get the taste of smoke, with hints of vanilla and honey. The aftertaste coats the palate with toasted oak and tobacco flavors. I give it 3.75 stars out of 5. The 750 ml bottle (fifth) retails for around $47.00. Below I put a video on how to taste scotch for any future connoisseurs.

These are 2 different trailers to the Oliver Stone directed movie "W." about our current president George W. Bush. I must admit, this movie looks great. I think people are gonna rush the theatres to check this out. It was genius to release it in the month before a presidential election, when folks who normally could care less about politics are following the issues. Brilliant.

Terrence Steven "Steve" McQueen (March 24, 1930 – November 7, 1980) was an American movie actor, nicknamed "The King of Cool". After appearing in the 1974 film The Towering Inferno, he became the highest paid movie star in the world.

McQueen was offered the lead role in Breakfast at Tiffany's but was unable to accept due to another movie contract. McQueen served as one of the pallbearers at Bruce Lee's funeral in 1973. After Chuck Norris taught McQueen's son Taekwondo, he is the person credited with persuading a young Chuck Norris to take acting lessons. McQueen was also known for his prolific drug use and was an everyday marijuana smoker.

In a day and age where new kicks come and go, it takes something special to catch my eye. These Puma's did just that. Entitled First Round Sketch, the high top sneaker comes in four colorways, all imitating as if the sneaker was customized by hand. The silhouette of the sneaker has been re-drawn upon, as well the Puma logo stripe. That coupled with fatlaces certainly makes for a fresh look. These drop this fall.
