Dita x Gazal Stunnas

Here go a few new pairs from my personal favorite sunglass company, Dita. The ones above are a collaboration with the old school shades company Cazal. The aviators are dope, but my favorite are the ones on the bottom. They have a fresh, yet sleazy 1970's feel to them.

Willie Northpole feat. B.O.B. : Hood Dreamer

My nigga Taj directed this one...dope video. Check it out. Go Popular Kid Go.

Top 60 Ghetto Names

Even though both of these clowns need a ass-whoopin' for having the nerve to do this and not be Black...I think this is a sign that we need to be more conscious at the names we give our children. For example, I know 3 different people who named their children after liquor. 2 boys named Hennessey and Rossi, and a girl named Alize. No lie. We have a culture with many names that are rich in meaning, let's try to use them.

When In Rome: The Promise

Here's one of my favorite 80's songs. I been on my 80's shit lately looking for some refreshing creative inspiration. Take some time to listen...

Jimmy Choo Spring/Summer '09

I ran across these and figured the ladies who visit my blog might like to check out whats coming this spring from Jimmy Choo. Heels and a wife-beater in the summertime is always a good look.

Cassie's New Flavor

So what do you think? Fly style or pure wackness? (or maybe creative marketing...hmmm). I actually like it, but thats just me.

The Korean Mariah Carey

I posted this dude a while back. He was doing another Mariah Carey song. For some reason this is hella funny. The fact that I dont see too many gay Korean people makes it a bit funnier too...and what the fuck is up with his shirt? Nigga got a damn blouse with tassels on. LoL

"Nice to meet you, what do you do?"

Right now I'm in an editing studio in Santa Monica lending my creative input to the editing of Ne-Yo's new video "Part Of The List". Also in the room is the director (Taj), the video's producer (Andrew), director of photography (Alejandro), and the actual editor working the computer (Dean). Sitting here I'm realizing how many people are involved in the creative process of making and maintaining a star. For every person you see in the spotlight, there are countless people behind the scenes shaping the artists superstar image. When people say the music business is 90% business and 10% music, I think this is what they're talking about. We're literally creating the video from unstructured rolls of footage, and the only person in this room who makes music is me, and thats just by coincidence. Im actually down here as a screenwriter. Go figure.

Kid Cudi: Karmaloop TV

Damn, I feel what he was saying. That shit's been me so many times.

Quote Of The Day

"I shall pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again"

Jerry Lewis (1926- )

Amber Rose

Remember the lyrics to Kanye's song "Stronger"? Well if not, let me refresh your memory.
"Heard they'd do anything for a Klondike
Well I'd do anything for a blond dike
And she'll do anything for the limelight
And we'll do anything when the time's right"

At this point we've all heard of Mr. west's new girlfriends lesbian past. I guess he spoke this into fruition. I think this relationship serves a few purposes. Amber Rose gets attention and press any upcoming "model" would kill for (just the mere fact that we actually know her name speaks volumes in itself) and it makes it easier for Kanye to divert some of those gay accusations that have been plaguing him as of late. She's definitely bad though, I can't front.

KiD CuDI: Superboo

This is some new Kid Cudi. I like the video. I have a thing for naked models.

Shawty Lo: Roll The Dice

I'm a huge fan of Coldplay, so I guess the sample in this song made me like it. I fucks wit Shawty Lo anyway though to be honest. I guess he takes makes some final reference to the "beef" with T.I. before laying the issue to rest....finally.

Diet Butcher: Slim Skin High-Top

I almost lost my mind when I saw these.  When I see joints like these in the store, its a no-brainer for me. Imma cop. They're made by Diet Butcher. The all red patent leather is crazy, and that extra high tongue is what's really gonna set them off with some jeans. I give these motherfucker's an A+

New York Post Cartoon Degrades Obama.

Here's a "comic" that was published in the New York Post the other day. I posted this for those who weren't familiar with the controversy due to media bias. We all know our first African-American president Barack Obama has become synonymous with his Stimulus Bill.  I think this is a clear message that even though Obama's election was a huge step for this country, racism is still very prevalent in America and the world as a whole.

Nipsey Hussle: Hussle In The House

Nipsey Hussle is a new artist out of Los Angeles. I like this song, that Kris Kross "Jump Jump" sample was a nice touch. He almost reminds me of a young Snoop Dogg. The west coast needs some fresh faces. What do you think of him?

Asher Roth: I Love College

Asher Roth is a new hip-hop artist out of Morrisville Pennsylvania. After a bidding war that included Def Jam and Warner Brothers, Asher ended up signing to Steve Rifkind's SRC Records. This is his first single. His album "Asleep In The Bread Aisle" is slated for an April 21st release.

Asics Spring 2009 Gel Lyte III

I know some of you probably have a thing against Asics, but I happen to be an equal opprtunity shopper...meaning that if they look dope then I don't give a fuck if they're made by pro wings. Imma rock 'em. These are the latest Gel Lyte III from the Asics Spring 2009 collection. It comes in two new colorways - rd/black/white and white/black/grey. Both colorways are now available at The red ones are crazy!.

Marijuana cuts Lung Cancer Tumors in Half

Just some random good news for all my marijuana smokers out there...

The active ingredient in marijuana cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread, say researchers at Harvard University who tested the chemical in both lab and mouse studies. For the link to the article CLICK HERE. Hooray!!

The Lonely Island: I'm On A Boat (Feat.T-Pain)

Now I don't know if I'm just high or not, but this song is funny and kinda hot at the same time. This shit had me crackin' up. If you've never heard of them, The Lonely Island (TLI) is a group of filmmakers and comedians that started in 2001. The group was originally from San Francisco, California, and now resides in New York. The three core members currently work together as writers on Saturday Night Live.

The funny thing is how this shows how much of hip-hop is sounding the same. The formula is so easy that comedians can do it. Kinda scary. And since they're from San Francisco, does that technically somehow make this some bay shit?? hmmm

Thievery Corporation: Sweet Tides

I caught this video on t.v. at about 2:00 am today. The imagery of it was so fresh to me I thought I'd share it. When I was watching it I was on the phone so the t.v. was on mute, but the song isnt that bad. I think scenic road trips in vintage cars are priceless.

Quote Of The Day

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Sail away from the safe harbor. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Lil' Wayne GQ Interview

From the outside, it seems like you’ve had a pretty incredible year this year. Kind of a breakthrough year. Does it feel that way to you?

Of course it was the biggest year of my life. Obviously. The VMAs were the biggest moment. That was the craziest, because I didn’t expect to do none of those things. Didn’t even contemplate once taking an award home. That was just over the mountain.
The payoff was sweet, of course, but the whole year has been mostly consumed with hard work. Everything that everyone see and notice, those things happen one day, one week, those things happen whenever. But I work every single day. I work every single hour. That’s what my year has been like. Work.

What about your album?

That was good. But there’s more to be done. People got to understand there’s no peak on record selling, there’s no limit, so you never reach your goal, you’re never satisfied.
And I expected to sell that much. Because I worked that goddamn hard. And it sounded that goddamn good. And that much better than everyone else’s.

So one of those working days, what’s it like? Your typical day.

A typical day for me? (To his road manager) Can I have a lighter? (Lights a blunt.) I get up, and if I’m not on the road or doing something like a photo shoot, I’m in the studio. I get up and eat breakfast, I have a great chef. The homies usually come over. We eat breakfast and shit.
My chef makes the same thing every day, just the full breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, sometimes waffles, fruit. Make sure that there’s everything you’re supposed to get.

You ever think about what happens when your record doesn’t open on top? Like where do you think you’ll be in ten years?

Nowhere. I don’t. That’s stupid. If anyone sees themselves in ten years they’re lying to themselves first, so you know they’re lying to you.
[A Lakers highlight comes on the flat-screen in the kitchen of his bus] Lakers my team. Cuz they got this creature on their team that’s unexplainably great, by name of Kobe Bryant. That’s just, just unreal. Until they don’t have him, I don’t understand why anyone else even play basketball.

[Then a LeBron highlight comes on the television] LeBron’s great, he gonna be better, because he’s younger, of course. That’s not even talent with LeBron, that’s magic. He may as well go on and tell everyone that he 35 years old, get it over with. He plays like a total man. He ain’t from Akron, he from Jupiter somewhere. Playing like that.

M21 Flat Panel TV

Introducing the M21 Flat Panel TV. A retrofit flat TV console to house both flat-panel plasmas and LCDs, the M21 is made from solid and veneer hardwoods. I kinda dig the retro look of this, since flat-screens didn't exist when this would've been manufactured. The speakers on the bottom set it off.

Barack and Michelle: The 1st Dance

Beyonce was holding back tears as she sang Etta James' classic "At Last". Man I cant even lie...this got to be some of the most beautiful shit I ever seen.

Fuckin' Comcast

I've been a bit busy moving....and I've been having internet bear with me, I'll be back to blogging in the next few days :)
