W.

These are 2 different trailers to the Oliver Stone directed movie "W." about our current president George W. Bush. I must admit, this movie looks great. I think people are gonna rush the theatres to check this out. It was genius to release it in the month before a presidential election, when folks who normally could care less about politics are following the issues. Brilliant.

The link died for a minute, but I found a fresh one.

Renaissance Man Of The Week: STEVE McQUEEN

Terrence Steven "Steve" McQueen (March 24, 1930 – November 7, 1980) was an American movie actor, nicknamed "The King of Cool". After appearing in the 1974 film The Towering Inferno, he became the highest paid movie star in the world.

McQueen was offered the lead role in Breakfast at Tiffany's but was unable to accept due to another movie contract. McQueen served as one of the pallbearers at Bruce Lee's funeral in 1973. After Chuck Norris taught McQueen's son Taekwondo, he is the person credited with persuading a young Chuck Norris to take acting lessons. McQueen was also known for his prolific drug use and was an everyday marijuana smoker.

It's not just clothes that give a man style -- it's the body language, the attitude, and perhaps the affection of a beautiful woman that can often make a look complete. At home with his first wife, Neile Adams. Los Angeles, CA, 1963. Take notes, Steve McQueen was fly.

Pic Of The Day

Here's ya boy John McCain getting some grown-man lovin' from his "daddy" George W. Bush.

Puma First Round Sketch

In a day and age where new kicks come and go, it takes something special to catch my eye. These Puma's did just that. Entitled First Round Sketch, the high top sneaker comes in four colorways, all imitating as if the sneaker was customized by hand. The silhouette of the sneaker has been re-drawn upon, as well the Puma logo stripe. That coupled with fatlaces certainly makes for a fresh look. These drop this fall.

Ferrari V4 Motorcyle Concept

Israeli industrial designer Amir Glinik has come up with an incredible Ferrari motorcycle concept using a modified engine from the Ferrari Enzo supercar. He also made a version in yellow, both I'm sure will be fast as hell with a super high pricetag. If I ever get one of these, I better write out a will.

Megan Fox GQ Magazine Cover Shoot!

Here's some footage of the Megan Fox October 2008 GQ magazine photo shoot. I honestly saw the cover in the grocery store yesterday couldn't take my eyes off of it. She's a 22 year old upcoming actress who made her debut in the movie Transformers. I don't remember her in the movie, but this cover is oozing with sexuality. I think I may grab that issue tomorrow...for the articles of course :)

Instant Karma

A soccer fan runs on the field and as security catches him, they decide to beat him while he's restrained. Unhappy fans rush the field to get justice....I just wish WE would have the courage to do this to the police who brutalize us in our own communities. Food For Thought.

Ryan Leslie circa 1994

I ran across this video this morning and I thought I'd share. It's Ryan Leslie, most known for signing and producing Cassie, receiving a community service award from a local television station in 1994. I had no idea he was a bay area product. By the way, he ended up graduating high school in 1994, at the age of 15. He received his degree from Harvard University at 19. I'll be kind and save the pocket protector jokes for another time.

Below is his new video for "Addiction". The song features Cassie & Fabolous. Only Fabolous appears in the video....hmmmm.

Lacoste Stealth. Spring '09

Classic 1990 Too Short Footage

This footage is from a PBS documentary that aired in 1990. It was part of a series discussing misogyny in rap music. The footage is interesting to watch. What's even more interesting is that we're still having the same conversations about the same issues in 2008. I still remember when my older cousins used to sneak away from my auntie to play his 1st album when I was a little kid.LoL
